Product Description In a certain New England town, it's hard to keep the undead down. Its shocking story continues courtesy of Larry Cohen, a maestro of cinematic horror (the It's Alive trilogy) and writer of police-action thrillers (Best Seller, Maniac Cop), tapping into his senses of the macabre as well as satire in a clever chiller based on characters created by Stephen King. Joining in to bedevil and terrify are Michael Moriarty as an anthropologist asked to write a "bible" for the town's ghastly group, Andrew Duggan as the leader of the town folk (including June Havoc and Evelyn Keyes) who hide their blood-feasting bent behind sweet exteriors and filmmaker Samuel Fuller in a rare on-screen role as a vampire hunter. For mortals who occasionally like to go to the devil - and come back - A Return to Salem's Lot is one terrific terror trip.

| Customer Reviews: Descent vampire flick that finally comes out on DVD! July 7, 2010 G. Watson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A Return to Salem's Lot. I remember growing up with this movie when I was a kid. I know that it is not as good as the original Salem's Lot made by Tobe Hooper (this one's way better than the 2004 remake), but this movie has a little something for everyone: some gooey gore effects, Tara Reid in her first role as an undead vampire. There are many more. As for the DVD, even though it's bare bones, at least it's great to finally have this cult favorite come out on DVD finally. Kudos to Warner Bros. for finally releasing it.
Aptly named, return it. July 11, 2010 TM 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
The competence of Mr. Moriarity only makes the rest of it look that much worse. Return to Salems Flop would be a better title. You can almost smell the horror as Mr. M ponders the possible demise of his career. Luckily it pulled through. It looked pretty close there. Really scary man.
I'll bet his friends have fun giving him **** for this one.
